Terms of Service

Last updated: June 29, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Verdict website, applications, and services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Verdict ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Not financial advice

Verdict is an educational and informational tool. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, brokerage, or legal advice, and nothing in the Service is a recommendation, solicitation, or offer to buy or sell any security or to adopt any investment strategy. Verdict is not a registered broker-dealer, investment adviser, or financial planner, and your use of the Service does not create any advisory or fiduciary relationship.

The analysis Verdict produces is generated by artificial intelligence and automated data sources. It may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. You are solely responsible for evaluating the information, conducting your own due diligence, and making your own decisions. Any action you take based on the Service is taken at your own risk.

2. Options and trading risk

Trading options and other securities involves substantial risk and is not suitable for every investor. You can lose some or all of your capital, and with certain strategies you can lose more than your initial investment. Hypothetical or past performance — including any performance tracking shown in the Service — is not a guarantee of future results. You should not trade with money you cannot afford to lose, and you should consult a licensed professional before making investment decisions.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

4. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect any unauthorized use. If you provide your own third-party API key (for example, an AI provider key), you are responsible for that key, its usage, and any associated costs.

5. Connected brokerage accounts

Verdict lets you connect a brokerage account through a third-party aggregator (SnapTrade) to view your positions and, where supported, to place orders that you authorize. Verdict does not custody your funds or securities and does not exercise discretion over your account. Any order is initiated by you; you are responsible for reviewing every order — including price, size, and fees — before you confirm it. Your connection is also governed by the terms and privacy policy of the aggregator and your broker.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, text, and branding, is owned by Verdict and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms. Content you submit remains yours, but you grant us a license to process it as needed to operate and improve the Service.

8. Third-party data and services

The Service relies on third-party data and providers (including market-data and AI providers) and may link to third-party sites. We do not control and are not responsible for the accuracy, availability, or content of third-party data or services, and we provide them without warranty.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any analysis, price, or data will be accurate or complete.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Verdict and its operators, officers, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any trading or investment losses, loss of profits, or loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the Service — even if advised of the possibility. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim or US $100.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Verdict and its operators from any claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your trades, or your violation of these Terms or any applicable law.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access at our discretion, including for violation of these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 1, 2, and 9–11) will survive.

13. Changes

We may modify the Service or these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved through binding individual arbitration in Illinois, except that either party may bring a claim in small-claims court. You and Verdict waive any right to participate in a class or representative action. If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
